Sur les traces de l'art. In this show the viewer can see how close photography and art has always been till photography became an art form itself. Picasso was one of the first to see photography as art and experimented already with photography in a very early stage. A result of this was the book Diurnes that he made in cooperation with photographer Andre Villers already in 1962. You will see in this show among some famous ones also some never shown pictures before of Pablo Picasso by Edward Quinn and Andre Villers. And there are also for the first time available, in a very limited edition 3 photographs of Alberto Giacometti by Ernst Scheidegger. And last but not least there will be some portraits in the show by Mart Engelen who has currently an exhibition of his portraits in the Helmut Newton Museum in Berlin ( until May 14th 2017- www.helmut-newton.com )
spontaneity, emotionality and authenticity in my subjects in a split second.
