Art expert for over thirty years and owner of the consulting firm Marco Bertoli Art Consulting, he is privy to many of the important discussions regarding art in today’s market. Since 2005, he has been a consultant for Christie’s Auction House for the Department of nineteenth century European Art, both in New York and London. He has also served as head of the department for nineteenth century paintings from 2006 to 2010 for the Auction House Finarte. In 2009 Marco Bertoli opened a studio in New York, where from 2014 to 2017 he collaborated with the Italian Cultural Institute, organizing a series of Italian art exhibitions. In recent years, Bertoli has been more dedicated to the activity of Art advisory, for investments in the art market in favor of important private collectors, public institutions and banks. His expertise extends in cataloging and verification of the authenticity of the works and their archiving. As part of his efforts to promote the knowledge of art, Bertoli in 2015 in collaboration with Oscar Farinetti organized in the spaces of Eataly a project dedicated to Italian artists. In July 2016 he obtained the Executive Master in Management of the Art of Cultural Heritage and currently resides between Modena and New York City.
